Children just love a canal holiday and the family can have great fun together, working as a team, especially at the locks. Being out in the fresh, open air all day will tire them out and they’ll go out like a light at bedtime. Be ready for big appetites though!
 

Safety is a priority for TILLERMAN and as part of your training we will make sure you are aware of the safety considerations so that you and we have peace of mind whilst you enjoy your holiday.

We provide life jackets for the under 12 year olds and for those adults that prefer to wear one – however remember the canals are only about 5 feet deep so if you do accidentally fall in then stand up. The boats are checked annually and are safety certified. We will explain what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency and make sure you know how to pass through the locks safely. Provided you follow our procedures there is nothing to worry about.
