Do you offer day hire / trips ?
No, our boats are holiday boats with sleeping accommodation. Our minimum canal boat rental is 3 nights, but if you wish, you can bring the canal boat back earlier.
Do you allow pets?
Many boats allow pets, please see the booking form for details.
Are the canal boats easy to operate?
Yes, the waters are mostly current free and cruising speed is only three to four miles per hour making driving a boat child's play. We give you full training and tuition on the canal boat and operating the locks - all included in the price you pay!

Where can with stop with the canal boat?
You can moor anywhere along the canal where it is safe to do so and there are no signs prohibiting this ie : permanent mooring/private moorings. It is advised to moor adjacent to the towpath for easy access. Mooring pegs are provided on the boat if there are no tie off points. You also have the option of mooring in a marina if they offer vistor moorings. There may be a small charge for this.

What happens if we have a problem?
Our dedicated team are on hand twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies. Your safety and enjoyment are our paramount concern.
Do I need my own insurance?
The only thing that is not insured by us are (a) your car which is probably protected under your motor policy and (b) your personal possessions which are also probably covered under your house contents insurance but please check your own policies carefully.

Are there any hidden costs?
Mooring is free along the towpath although if you choose to stay in a marina overnight there may be a charge and British Waterways charge £5 for an overnight stay in another marina. Water is free and we give you a British Waterways key on arrival. Gas and pump-outs (if necessary) are included in the price you pay.
Are there linen and towels?
We provide linen and towels, all included in the price you pay.
Can I fish?
Fishing is allowed on the Canals at any time of year, but a Rod Licence is required - you can get a 1 day, 8 day, or annual licence from the post office, or Online at the Environment website: www.environment-agency.gov.uk
Are there shops ?
Part of the canal boat experience is stopping off and visiting the villages and towns along the way, so you can stock up with groceries as you go along, although all our marinas are close to towns where there is a supermarket if you want to get the basics before you set off. There are lots of pubs and some cafes along the Canals, some have their own moorings, and some are just a short stroll away.
